Jeffrey Blake has been a musical performer since the
tender age of 14. Born and raised in Hopkinton, New Hampshire, Jeffrey
experienced many life changing events which he describes as "divine
intervention". At an early age he became sick with a life threatening
illness, but God gave him a second chance. In his early teens he witnessed
the death of his best friend in a boating accident. After that terrible
loss, he asked clergy, “Why did God do this to my friend?” Jeffrey
withdrew, but found solace in his music. It would take a long time for him
to heal.
Through his accomplishments in sports during high school, he gained a
sense of leadership through coaching soccer. He taught guitar lessons and
in doing that he soon realized that music was the direction he should
move. He played in several bands in his career as a vocalist, lead
guitarist and composer. Music has always been a part of his life.
As a young man, he searched for discernment in God’s purpose for his
life. Jeffrey struggled to understand his “vision dreams” as he calls
them. “What is God trying to tell me?” he wondered. God finally got
his attention! Jeffrey clearly understood that God wanted him to change
his longtime music style of rock and roll to Christian rock. Jeffrey
attributes his progression to faith based rock to an early influence from
the band, Out of the Grey. “Their music gave me the courage to go out on
my own” he states.
Jeffrey’s current ministry is to share faith through music and
ultimately bring others to God. His long term goal is to develop a group
home for abandoned youths in the state system. One day, Jeffrey hopes
there will be a place where the teaching of spirituality, faith and music
provides the foundation for children to prosper and succeed in a life
based on the belief in God.
Jeffrey owns and operates Vision Studio, a recording studio for Christian
youths and adults to express their music and improve their talents.
Jeffrey states, “It’s just another way to further broaden Christian
artists for His benefit”.
